Police announce methods used to track down killer Math Used in Hunt for Md. Sniper. Somehow I don't think these killers quite fit into any category of "serial killer" we've really seen before. So I doubt this will work too well. But even if it did, informing them of the technique will surely have them do something else. Unless it is a disinformation campaign like the U.S. did in order to convince the Iraqis that the last war with them would happen a certain way and not be prepared for the real method and timing of the attack.
